Made by the Hyundai Motor Company from their plants in Indonesia and South Korean, the iLoad is a cargo van that is marketed in the UK and Australia, but known as the Starex in many other global markets. Constructed with maximum internal space at the centre its design, Hyundai claim that the iLoad also offers exceptional style, high-quality manufacturing and a generous specification for the price. The Korean car maker also offers a 5 year warranty for the van which covers the first 100,000 miles of the vehicle’s commercial use.
The iLoad has a number of different configurations, in what is supposed to make it attractive to van owners who need a number of different uses from one model. In addition to the versatile cargo van mode, which has a comfortable cab and large storage capacity, the iLoad is also available as a crew van and can have seats fitted in the back, allowing drivers to transport six people as well as cargo. The iLoad also offers twin sliding side-doors as well as double-opening doors at the rear, affording a good deal of flexibility when it comes to loading and unloading in tight parking spots.
The iLoad is fitted with a 2.5 CRDi in the UK, an engine which develops 116 PS and a 343 NM of torque which Hyundai market as ahead of anything else in its class. The van features anti-lock brakes as well as an innovative electronic braking system which enhances the control of the vehicle when it is brought to a rapid halt.
