It’s time to celebrate with the new Kia Carnival. This popular people mover has been significantly improved and motorists will now find a new 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine under the bonnet as well as a 2.2 litre turbo-diesel. The new engine is perfectly coupled with the Carnival’s long wheelbase and provides plenty of power, even when tackling steep slopes.
The 2.2 litre turbo-diesel is top of the range and in the Carnival it provides 143kw/429Nm, which is an impressive 25 per cent more torque than the previous diesel Carnival was able to deliver. All models also come with a new six speed automatic transmission as standard, which is sure to make the driving experience much more pleasurable.
Although the Carnival is much more powerful than its predecessors, this is still a very eye catching vehicle. The new design is smaller, lighter and much less complex, while a number of special features have been added to the interior. The Carnival now boasts steering wheel remote controls as well as Bluetooth functionality for the modern driver.
The new metallic interior trim highlights are particularly appealing, while the Carnival now features roof rails, electric controls for the third row of windows and special rear air-conditioning controls to keep the passengers in the back feeling fresh and cool. While the seats are the same size as in previous Carnival releases, they are now more comfortable thanks to the use of new material, meaning that everyone will be able to sit comfortably even on long journeys.
